5. Create Sites in Yeti 4.0
This article walks you through creating and setting up service locations in Yeti 4.0, including property details, addresses, map location pins, site plans, contacts, and crew photo requirements.
Setting up service sites allows you to accurately map property locations, assign sites to specific clients, and provide field crews with critical instructions, access codes, and site plans directly through the mobile app.
Step-by-Step InstructionsStep 1: Access the Sites Page
- Log in to your Yeti 4.0 account.
- From the left navigation menu, click Client Management to expand the menu options.
- Click Sites in the left sidebar.
- Click the + Add site button on the top right to create a new location.
Step 2: Enter Basic Site Information
- Name: Enter the primary name for the site.
- Name for Operator: (Optional) Edit this field if mobile app operators need to see a custom or simplified site name on their devices.
- Client: Select the client this site belongs to from the dropdown menu.
Note: A site can belong to only one client. Assigning a client is essential for proper contract management, routing, and reporting.
- Site & Client Reference: (Optional) Enter site reference codes or client references for custom reporting.
- Area ($m^2$): (Optional) Enter the total site area used for routing and operational reporting.
Step 3: Set Location & Adjust Pin
- Address: Start typing the street address into the Address line 1 search field.
- Select the verified address from the dropdown list to automatically populate the street, city, postal code, province/state, and country.
- Adjust Map Pin: (Optional) Drag the interactive map pin to the exact spot where crews should arrive or park.
Note: Manually placed map pins stay fixed at the dropped coordinates even if the address text changes.
Step 4: Upload Photos & Site Plans
- Scroll down to the Photos & plans section.
- Click Choose Files to upload site maps, property photos, or marked-up aerial snapshots. These images display directly in the mobile app to guide field crews.
Step 5: Configure Contacts, Tags, and Operational Notes
- Contacts: Click + Add contact to store site-specific contact persons for reference and notifications.
- Tags: Search or select tags (e.g., Calgary, Park County, Priority) to filter and group sites during routing and dispatching.
- Notes (Crew Facing): Enter standing facts about the property (e.g., gate codes, hazards, or salt restrictions). Field crews read these notes first on every job.
- Internal Notes (Office Only): Enter private notes for administrative staff. These are never displayed to mobile crews.
Step 6: Set Photo Requirements and Save
- Photos Required: Specify the mandatory number of Before and After photos crews must take in the mobile app upon arrival and departure. Leave blank if no rule applies.
- Click Create Site at the bottom of the page to save the location.
