Why are some consumable charges showing as $0 on my billing report, even though others have the correct rate?
This typically happens when multiple consumables are configured on a client contract with different rates, including consumables set to $0.
When an operator completes work in the mobile app, billing is based on which consumable they select in the field. If the selected consumable has a $0 rate on the client contract, the billing entry will reflect $0—even if a similar consumable with a cost also exists.
Example
A client contract may include:
- Bagged Salt (50 lb / 22 kg bag) – $25.00
- Sidewalk Bag (50 lb bag) – $0.00
If the operator selects the $0 consumable while completing the service, that entry will appear as $0 on the billing report.
How to prevent $0 charges
You have two options:
- Remove $0 consumables from the client contract
- This prevents them from appearing as selectable options for that client’s sites in the mobile app.
- Disable operator visibility for specific consumables
- In the Consumables section of Yeti, you can turn off Display to Operator to hide a consumable across all sites.
Important to know
- Operators cannot see pricing in the mobile app.All service and consumable rates are hidden from operators, regardless of configuration.
- Billing accuracy depends on selecting the correct consumable during service completion.
